Most Common Symptom of Breast Cancer

A lump is one of the most common symptoms of breast conditions, often noticed by the patient themselves. Most palpable lumps in the breast are benign and related to fibrocystic changes, which are often accompanied by breast swelling and pain. The most common area where breast lumps are felt is the upper outer quadrant of the breast. In most cases, lumps smaller than one centimeter are not easily palpable and require additional diagnostic tools, such as mammography, for detection.
